We have identified six factors that could be located spatially in order to develop the walkability index. These six factors population density, diversity of activities, street network connectivity, slope, noise pollution, and shade/sun conditions. Census blockgroups within the county were ranked and divided into deciles based on a walkability index. The top four and bottom four deciles represented high-walkability and low-walkability areas.
